Course Syllabus
- Section 1: Research: Students will learn where to find funding sources, and more importantly, how to read the funding opportunity details to determine the best funding opportunity.
- Section 2: Problem Statement: Students learn how to develop a compelling Need Statement which competitively demonstrates why the applicant organization deserves the grant funding.
- Section 3: Executive Summary: Students will learn to provide an overview which clearly summarizes the important parts of the grant project.
- Section 4: Proposal: Students will expand the details of their grant program to a full competitive and fundable proposal.
- Section 5: Organization Budget: Students learn the basics of designing a budget.
- Section 6: Program Budget: Students learn the nuances of designing a competitive and fundable Program Budget.
Section 7: Ethics and Professional Standards. This section clears-up and dispels many of the myths and unethical concepts in the grant writing profession.
